Hi, I'm Matt,

I grew up in Hertfordshire and studied classic film photography at the Centre for Arts in Hitchin, where I learned the fundamentals of photography using traditional film cameras and developing my own images. This hands-on training gave me a strong understanding of light, composition, and capturing natural expressions.

 

Photography has been my profession since 2016. Alongside photographing weddings, I have worked across a range of environments, including schools and early years settings. My experience in wedding photography has helped me develop a calm, organised approach and the ability to work efficiently while putting people at ease, skills that translate well into school photography.

 

I believe school photography should be a smooth and positive experience for both staff and pupils. I work closely with school teams, communicate clearly, and photograph children with patience and respect. My aim is to create natural, well-lit images while keeping disruption to the school day to a minimum.

 

In addition to portrait photography, I have produced marketing photography and videography for organisations including Bright Horizons UK and Asquith Nurseries. This work has given me a strong understanding of professionalism, safeguarding awareness, and working within educational environments.

 

Based locally in Hertfordshire, I value building long-term relationships with schools and providing a reliable, friendly photography service that schools can trust year after year.
